This past year has really taught us that we can do so many things remotely. Our world is changing and the internet is even more important than it was before. Have you heard of e-design? You may have heard it called virtual interior design or online interior design! E-design is not new at all, in fact, it’s been around for about 6 years now.  While it’s not a new thing in our world, awareness of its existence has been low. It has grown incredibly over the last 6 years!  E-design is really any interior design service that can be done remotely, but it typically involves the client submitting photos, measurements, budget and style preferences and receiving some sort of design plan that they can implement themselves on their own time. This is typically for those who are comfortable taking more of a diy approach and costs less than working 1-1 with a designer.  You would think this would limit your options, but SO much design work can be done remotely. I hope you love it.  Check out some inspiration photos When decorating any area of your home, this is where I suggest you start. If you don’t know what you like, and what kinds of decorative objects get you excited, it will be hard to create a cohesive look that you love. So start by checking out Pinterest and saving a few photos that you like.  Plan plan plan Now that you have an idea of what you like, take inventory of what you have. Do you have any decorative items (books, accessories, faux florals, candles) that you think you could repurpose for this space? Ahhhhh, the beautiful gallery wall! This design trend has been around for a while now and is still an extremely popular one. You can find gallery walls all throughout pinterest and your social media feed. And I don’t see them going anywhere anytime soon. Creating a gallery wall can be an overwhelming task when you haven’t done it before. I mean, how do they get them to look so good?  Have no fear, I am here to help! I’ve put together 7 steps to follow to put together a beautiful gallery wall for your home. Grab something to take notes on and your favorite pen and let’s get started.   Choose your artwork  If you’ve never put together a gallery wall before, we suggest not going over 10-12 pieces for your wall. You can always add more later as you enhance your skills! You’ll want to select 10-12 pieces of artwork that you love. Gathering photos, prints, and paintings in different sizes creates a great gallery wall, so shoot for switching it up and adding as much variety as possible.
